New Holland is releasing a beer.
We plan on having it here.
It’s called Poet’s Brunch
And we have a hunch,
that it will be drank in good cheer!
Limericks, sonnets, free-verse…all are welcome at this year’s Poet’s Brunch. With New Holland Brewing Co. creating a Bunch version of their Poet Stout, we thought we might as well have a poetry brunch at the Haus!
Great Beers, Fun Brunch Eats, and a POETRY CONTEST!
WHEN: March 8th 11am to 1pm
WHAT: A morning of Brunch Specials, new and fantastic beers from New Holland, and poetry both written and aloud.
Bring in an original poem about beer, brunch, eating, or drinking and be entered to win a number of great prizes, including a year subscription to the Poetry Foundation & Poetry Magazine!
The microphone will be open from 11am to 1pm for anyone who wishes to read their poem to the crowd (please remember brunch is a family friendly crowd). Kurt will put his Creative Writing degree to use to assemble a panel of judges to pick a winner (but if we are reading poetry, aren’t we all winners?) Note; you do not have to read your poem out loud to be entered into the contest.
We will have some great beers on tap.
-Poet Stout
-Passion Blaster
-Dragon’s Milk Reserve
-Poet’s Brunch Stout
BRUNCH SPECIALs including:
-Chocolate Hazelnut sauced pancakes
-Berry Parfaits
-Waffles with Cinnamon and Vanilla

This is meant to be a morning of good beer, the joy of the written word, and brunch. Please respect others works. Don’t forget to stick around for Sunday Blues from 1-4pm!
Poetry Contest Rules: Must be 21+ to enter/win. All works must be original, must in some way relate to beer or brunch or eating & drinking in general. Winner, as determined by an impartial panel of judges, will receive a New Holland prize pack including a year subscription to Poetry Magazine!
